Infusions and Baby Update

I had to start getting a blood infusion once a week at the hospital.  I will have a total of 3 rounds before our little Alien joins our family.  They are long 3-4 hour sessions, painful and make me very sick...but we are doing whatever we need to so that me and the Alien make it through this delivery safely!!  My iron levels have been below 20 {average is 37} and I have been sick and VERY tired....non functioning would be a better way to describe it....plus because of my high blood pressure they are watching me very closely.  I love my doctor and the woman that I do my I.V. Therapy with is so awesome so I feel like I am in good hands. 

I had a check up today with my doctor and I am dilated to a 3, baby is head down and I am about 60% effaced.  We are on our way and are thinking that we may NOT make it until the 23rd of January.  We have been running around this past weekend getting all the final touches put on everything just in case we have an early delivery.  We raised the crib mattress, we washed and re-assembled the rear facing car seat, put hospital bags together and completed a last minute shopping list.  We are not planning on anything happening early but you never know!  I will see my doctor again in a week and see how we are doing....

This has been a long, long pregnacy...hard and frustrating...we are excited for it to be all over...but are praying for a healthy baby and a safe delivery.....
